Two upcoming events featuring… me:

1. LitPac reading at the Kitty Cat Klub this Thursday July 20 at 7:30pm. With me, Thisbe Nissen, Ed Bok Lee, and… Al Franken! It’s a benefit for ActBlue and Colleen Rowley, who is challenging a Republican congressman in suburban-exurban Minnesota. You may know Rowley from her role as an FBI whistleblower.

2. August 1, 5:30pm, Target Center, before the 7pm Lynx vs. Seattle Storm game. I’ll be reading a few poems, talking about my new short book, Shot Clocks, and promoting my new longer book, Parallel Play; Jayda Evans will be talking about her book on the Storm. You’ll need to buy a ticket to the game; if you are a literary person considering attending your first WNBA event, know that you can get a ticket for as little as $10 and that Lynx games almost never sell out (and that Seattle are a fun team to watch).

There may (or may not) be something about me, the Lynx, and Shot Clocks in the next City Pages, or maybe the one after that: nothing’s certain in this world, but it’s worth a look.

UPDATE: and catch Rae Armantrout on poems-dot-com today. It’s way past time “mainstream” readers noticed her powers.
